Super Falcons midfielder Deborah Abiodun has been named Rookie of the Month for September by the NWSL in the USA.
This is the first such award for Abiodun a month after she made her NWSL debut for Washington Spirit.
In September, she started three of four matches, leading her club in duels won and tackles won.
She led all midfielders in possession in the middle third of the pitch with a staggering passing accuracy of 87.3%.
Abidon helped her team climb to second in the NWSL standings, they are undefeated since June and have already punched their ticket to the Championship Playoffs.
