Nine-time African champions Super Falcons will take on world champions USA in two friendlies in September, officials disclosed.
The two teams will first do battle on September 3 at the Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, before a rematch on September 6 at the Audi Field in Washington DC.
Both teams clashed in friendlies about a year ago with the Americans winning both matches, 2-0 and 1-0.
USA have already qualified for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Nigeria, on the other hand, have to beat Cameroon Thursday evening in Casablanca, Morocco, to book their passage to the tournament.
USA coach Vlatko Andonovski said he is excited his team will come up against a team with talented players who could pose them some problems.
