Coach Justine Madugu started a team of his first-team stars like Chiamaka Nnadozie, Osinachi Ohale, Tosin Demehin and Chinwendu Ihezuo in this rematch as against an experimental team in the first game at the weekend.
The difference was that the 10-time African champions returned to winning ways after conceding the opening goal after just seven minutes of action.
Mexico-based striker Chinwendu Ihezuo drew Nigeria at par in the 32 minute when she powered home a header off a cross by Rinsola Babajide.
Babajide then put the Super Falcons in front on 43 minutes, when she shot home off a goalmouth scramble.
The Falcons then made the game safe in the 64th minute, when Michelle Alozie delivered a flying header off a cross by captain Rasheedat Ajibade.
Both teams used the two matches to prepare for the forthcoming 2026 WAFCON to be staged by Morocco between March 17 and April 3.
The competition will also serve as a qualifying series for the 2027 Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Brazil with the four semifinalists booking their tickets to South America.
