Tonight, the Super Falcons fought back from two goals down to beat hosts Morocco 3-2 and win a record-extending 10th WAFCON title inside a packed Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Jennifer Echegini was the Super Sub as she fired home the championship winner in the 88th minute, when she swept a free kick by Esther Okoronkwo past the diving Morocco goalkeeper.
Home team Morocco raced into a two-goal lead after 24 minutes in this most absorbing final, before Nigeria fought back to draw level with goals in the second half by Okoronkwo and Folashade Ijamilusi.
