Coach Justine Madugu has promised that the Super Falcons will be gunning for goals in tomorrow’s 2026 WAFCON eliminator against home team Benin.
“We will go out and play our game and seek the goals that will put us in good stead ahead of the return leg,” vowed Madugu, who has been offered a new two-year contract after he led the team to win a tenth WAFCON earlier this year.
“We have a team that will go out there and make us proud.”
PSG midfielder Jennifer Echegini is ruled out of the qualifiers due to a hamstring injury.
USA-based Deborah Abiodun is expected to take the place of Echegini in a midfield that will also have Christy Ucheibe and skipper Rasheedat Ajibade.
Tomorrow’s clash will kick-off 5pm inside the Stade de Kegue, Lome, Togo, with the return leg in Nigeria Tuesday.
