Tomorrow’s 2025 AFCON Group C match between the Super Eagles and the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia has been sold out, according to the organisers.
Therefore, the match at the Complexe Sportif in Fes will be jammed with 35,000 spectators as the two Eagles do battle to determine the leadership of this first round group.
Tunisia, who are headed by former international Sami Trabelsi, top the standings having beaten Uganda 3-1 on matchday 1, while the Super Eagles edged Tanzania 2-1.
The two teams have clashed at full international level 21 times in 64 years.
They each won six times, while nine games ended in draws some of which were eventually decided by a penalty shootout.
The North Africans beat the Super Eagles 1-0 last time they clashed three years ago at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
It was Tunisia’s first win since 1985, when they beat Nigeria 2-0 in Tunis in a 1986 World Cup qualifier.
