Top target to be the next Super Eagles coach Herve Renard has qualified France to the 2025 women’s European Championship with a round of matches to spare.
France beat Sweden 2-1 in Dijon at the weekend to qualify for next year’s Euros in Switzerland.
They advanced to the Euros alongside group rivals and defending champions England.
It was France fourth win in five qualifying matches and they play their final group game Tuesday in Ireland.
Renard, who has been shortlisted by the NFF technical committee for the Super Eagles top post, will quit as coach of the French women after the Paris Olympics next month and he said he will then become a fan of the team.
