Freiburg No 1 Noah Atubolu, who is on the Super Eagles radar, has been ranked among the best 100 goalkeepers in the world by the respected football observatory CIES.
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has listed Atubolu among the top-ranked Nigeria-eligible players he wishes to cap for the national team soon.
Atubolu has now made the elite ranking, while Super Eagles No 1 Stanley Nwabali and Maduka Okoye missed out.
The 22-year-old shot stopper scored 65.7% to rank 94th in the CIES ranking.
The best goalkeeper in the world is PSG and Italy No 1 Gianluigi Donnarumma, who got 95.5% .
Yann Sommer (91.7%( of Switzerland and Inter Milan is second, while third is Real Madrid and Belgium goalkeeper Thibault Courtois (88%).
