The Super Eagles will take on Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia in Austria next month, according to officials.
Top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced that the Eagles will face Cote d’Ivoire on October 9 and four days later they will take on Tunisia in another friendly.
Nigeria beat Tunisia 1-0 to finish third at last year’s AFCON in Egypt, while the last meeting with Cote d’Ivoire at full international level was seven years ago when the Eagles eliminated the Elephants in the quarterfinal of the AFCON.
The NFF had earlier announced two friendlies for the national team for this month in Europe, but they were later called off.
On account of the postponements caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic, the three-time African champions last played in November 2019, a 2021 AFCON qualifier against Lesotho in Maseru, which they won 4-2.
The Eagles are also billed to battle Sierra Leone in an AFCON double-header qualifier in November.
