Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers could now be out for as many as 12 weeks after he suffered a major thigh injury while with the national team.
The injury has already forced the 31-year-old striker to quit the Super Eagles camp at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco and return to Greek club Panathinaikos.
Super Eagles Eric Chelle gave an update on the player’s injury.
“Cyriel (Dessers) is out for maybe 10-12 weeks,” he disclosed.
“I am disappointed for him, so we have to play for him tomorrow (vs Mozambique).”
The injury robbed him of an AFCON debut.
