Super Eagles will play their first of four matches against Rwanda today and a former international has urged the team to win today to send a serious warning to the home team.
Rwanda top the 2026 World Cup qualifying group that also has the Super Eagles.
The Amavubi have seven points from four matches, three points ahead of the Super Eagles, who are second from bottom.
Former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze has therefore tasked coach Augustine Eguavoen and his team to win this 2025 AFCON qualifier today in Kigali.
“Let’s beat Rwanda today and send a big warning to them for the World Cup,” Udeze urged.
“Victory today will put some fear in Rwanda.”
The 2026 World Cup qualifying series will resume in March 2025.
