Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha will run out his contract at Gent next month, but could still stay put in Belgium following renewed interest from Anderlecht.
With the departure of Jan Vertonghen, Anderlecht must look for defensive reinforcement. For that, it seems to be thinking mainly of a left-footer and Ahmed Touba (KV Mechelen) was linked to the Brussels club. Torunarigha is also an option.
The KAA Gent defender was previously linked to Anderlecht, but a transfer did not materialize.
According to the German Berliner Zeitung, Anderlecht’s interest has not worn out.
Torunarigha’s contract with KAA Gent is expiring and he can therefore leave for free.
Anderlecht hope to take advantage of this.
