Super Eagles winger Nathan Tella has committed his long-term future to German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.
Tella, 26, who was previously linked with a transfer away from Leverkusen, has extended his stay at the club until June 30, 2031.
The winger or second striker joined Leverkusen from English Championship club Southampton in 2023.
His previous contract was to run out in the summer of 2028.
Bayer 04 Managing director for sports Simon Rolfes said they are delighted to sign Tella for the long term.
“We are delighted to have retained such a likeable and top-class professional in our ranks for the long term,” he remarked.
“Nathan Tella is a key player on the pitch and an incredibly important figure in the locker room.”
Tella said he is “incredibly comfortable” at the German club.
