Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika and Promise David of Union St.Gilloise have been named in the Team of the Week in Belgium.
Onyedika was “flawless” as Club Brugge spanked Gent 5-0 to shoot to the top of the UEFA Champions League playoffs, while ex-Nigeria U23 striker Promise David scored twice for Union to threw wide open the title race in Belgium after a 2-1 win at Genk.
“Raphaël Onyedika delivered another of those familiar, flawless performances in Ghent: strong in recovery and imperturbable in possession,” said part of the nomination of the Club Brugge midfielder
This was what was said of Promise David: “There was no getting around Promise David this weekend, literally and figuratively. Granted, the Canadian also missed two golden chances, but with his double salvo he single-handedly threw the title race wide open again.”
