The Super Eagles will be without stand-in captain William Ekong for Tuesday’s friendly against the main Algerian team after he became the latest player to pick up injury.
A statement by the Super Eagles said Ekong has returned to his base in England for further assessment after he was injured in Friday’s test game against Algeria ‘B’ team.
The experienced Watford defender started the test game in Constantine, but coach Jose Peseiro changed the entire starting XI for the second half.
Leicester City defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi also headed back to England after he was injured in training in Algeria.
