Hence, the listed team below is the full squad full of experienced players and upcoming talents that can equally contribute to making Nigeria successful in 2024.
Strengths and Areas for Improvement
The attacking unit of the Super Eagles squad for 2024 is an exciting blend of talents, with of course, heavy artillery up front, where Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, and Gift Orban are all in the mix. The balance, much creativity, and cover to the rear come in the form of Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi in midfield.
The backline of the team, despite the experience that the likes of William Troost-Ekong and Calvin Bassey will bring in, carries weaknesses. In a high-intense moment, especially when competing with the big teams, the backline might be found wanting.
Other than that, one thing this team needs to work on further is consistency. Nigerian fans are very expectant, and as much as the Super Eagles can do very well on the pitch, consistency in international competitions still seems to be a problem.
What to Expect in 2024
Come 2024, the Super Eagles will be lined up with many important competitions such as the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers. With a mix between well-established players and younger, Nigerian budding footballers ready for their breakthrough, this can be a good team that goes places in the competition.
The AFCON has always been a point of concentration in Nigerian football, while the oncoming 2024 tournament headlined the fans toward the performance of the Super Eagles’ squad list 2024. Moreover, the qualification avenue that the World Cup qualifiers have created is still pending for 2026 to the most prestigious global tournament.
Conclusion
The Super Eagles’ Squad list really promises great things for Nigerian football: a good mix between established stars and those who come next. Fielding apt displays of the Super Eagles, either Victor Osimhen upfront in attack or Wilfred Ndidi conducting the midfield, Nigeria is set to make headlines at most matches that will be staged this year on the international scene.
While the team remains to solidify its defense and be consistent, there are still some challenges ahead, it has proved that it can hold its own against the best. Success during the new year in both AFCON and World Cup qualifiers would mean Nigerian football followers stay glued to the fortunes of their representatives.
