The Super Eagles have maintained 31st position in the latest FIFA rankings released today.
They are also third in Africa behind front runners Senegal (20th in the world) and Tunisia (27th in the world).
Nigeria are also among the top 10 biggest movers of the outgoing year.
The Eagles are seventh in this ranking after they accumulated a total of 68 points by the end of 2019.
They placed third at this year’s expanded AFCON in Egypt and are currently top of their qualifying group for the 2021 AFCON after wins over Benin and Lesotho.
The FIFA Rankings will be used when the draw for the African zone of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers is staged next month.
