Rivers United winger Ishaq Rafiu Kayode, who could make his Super Eagles debut this month, has remained top of the goals race in the NPFL with 14 goals.
Kayode’s tally has included five goals from the penalty spot.
Yusuf Abdulazeez of Gombe United is pushing the Rivers United star closely as he has now fired 13 goals thanks in part to his brace in a 4-2 home win over Kwara United at the weekend.
Victor Mbaoma of Enyimba has thus far netted 12 goals, while Chijoke Akuneto of table-topping Rivers United is on 11 goals.
Valentine Odoh from Abia Warriors has 10 goals, while Ossy Martins (Enugu Rangers) and Andy Okpe (Remo Stars) have netted nine goals each.
There are still nine rounds of matches to the end of the NPFL season.
