Super Eagles fresh call-up Igho Ogbu has opened up that he rejected an approach to play for Norway in his last season with Lillestrom.
Ogbu, 25, was outstanding for Lillestrom in the 2022 season that he became the record outgoing transfer to Slavia Praha in January 2023 for a fee of 2.5 Million Euros.
“There was a chance to play for Norway in my last season with Lillestrom,” he told SCORENigeria
“But I always knew that I will also get my chance with the Super Eagles.”
As first reported by SCORENigeria, Ogbu revealed that it was his father’s dying wish for him to play for the Super Eagles.
The big central defender has been capped the Golden Eaglets as well as the Flying Eagles.
