Nigeria have the quality to feature at the 2026 World Cup, but they have to be disciplined to achieve this, according to the father of Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha.
“We have a good team, but there is no discipline in the team,” Ojokojo Torunarigha told Blast FM Ibadan
“You see players swagging their shorts, like hip-hoppers, come to the stadium with their phones and so on.
“Discipline has to be at the top no matter how big you are.
“If they’re disciplined, they will qualify for the World Cup.”
Ex-international Torunarigha gave an example during his playing days in Germany when he used the wrong pair of boots and kept slipping on the pitch only for him to be promptly replaced by the coach.
“He said I didn’t want to play,” he recalled.
