There are now serious fears that the Super Eagles may not have a full team for a rescheduled AFCON warm-up game against Egypt in Cairo, officials said.
The friendly between Nigeria and Egypt has been rescheduled from December 14 to 16 after FIFA ordered that clubs only release players for the AFCON by December 15.
Less than half of the players who made the cut for the final 28-man squad for the AFCON will only be Egypt by December 15, just a day to the match, officials disclosed.
The players have already kicked against this lateness of the friendly as well as its venue as they fear injuries and fatigue from traveling across Africa.
