Super Eagles have made two changes to their starting XI for tonight’s CAF 2026 World Cup Playoffs final against DR Congo.
TEAM NEWS 🗞️
🔃 Two changes from our win over Gabon.
🪄 Iwobi pulls the strings in midfield.

Bright Osayi-Samuel and Jerome Akor drop to the bench, while Frank Onyeka starts and Semi Ajayi returns to partner Calvin Bassey in the heart of the back four after his suspension.
Ademola Lookman keeps his place despite his lack of sharpness in front of goal.
Starting two defensive midfielders, Onyeka and Wilfred Ndidi, and dropping a striker shows a lot more respect for the Leopards of DRC.
Otherwise, coach Eric Chelle has kept faith with the core of the team that beat Gabon 4-1 after extra time Thursday.
Super Eagles Starting XI vs DR Congo
Nwabali – Zaidu, Benjamin, Bassey, Ajayi – Ndidi (Captain), Onyeka, Iwobi, Chukwueze – Osimhen, Lookman
