Gabriel Osho, who was invited by the Super Eagles for friendlies in March, has completed his transfer to promoted Ligue 1 side Auxerre.
The central defender signed a year’s contract as a free agent after he quit Luton Town, who were relegated this past season from the Premier League.
His new deal has an option for an additional two years at the former club of another Nigerian defender, Taribo West.
Osho has been handed the jersey No 3.
The 25-year-old defender made 21 appearances and scored twice for Luton Town in the Premier League last season.
Auxerre are back in the French top league after many years in the lower league.
