Young Honest Ahanor will be loaned to Crystal Palace by Atalanta because Chelsea want him to adapt to English football.
The player is flying to London today to undergo his medical.
Atalanta have agreed to loan 18-year-old centre-back Ahanor to Crystal Palace, and a pre-agreement is also in place for the player to join Chelsea in the summer of 2027 for a £40m fee.
Ahanor joined Atalanta from Genoa in July 2025 for a fee reported to be €16m.
It was also reported that earlier in the summer, Brighton had a bid of around €40m rejected in June 2026.
