Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has made several changes to the provisional squad for next month’s friendly against Cameroon in Austria by leaving out Kenneth Omeruo, Sadiq Umar, Joe Aribo among others.
Kevin Akpoguma, Zaidu Sanusi and Leon Balogun have also been kept out.
New additions are Frank Onyeka and Valentine Ozornwafor, while Enyimba pair of goalkeeper John Noble and winger Anayo Iwuala made the final cut.
Both Sadiq Umar and Kenneth Omeruo were excused as their Spanish clubs are involved in La Liga promotion playoffs.
Crotone striker Simeon Nwankwo earned his recall after his 20 goals in Serie A this past season.
He last played for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Midtjylland defensive midfielder Onyeka has been handed a second chance after he failed to shine in friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia last year.
FC Lorient striker Terem Moffi and Portugal-based midfielder Abraham Marcus will be expected to make their debut against Cameroon.
