Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi has made remarkable progress towards his return to action after he suffered a long-term injury in November.
A hamstring injury he suffered against Cardiff City ruled him out of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda in November.
He was expected to be out for four months.
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray said he will watch the central defender feature in an U21 youth game to assess his fitness.
“I want to see how he reacts and deals with things,” he said.
