Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem wants to move away from FC Nantes after relegation from the French Ligue 1 meant an automatic salary cut for him.
The 28-year-old central defender, who moved from the MLS last season, is very unhappy he has to take a huge pay slash after Nantes were demoted from the French top flight.
Various reports have now suggested that the experienced central defender is expected to sign with Turkish club Konyaspor.
The deal would be until June 2028 and would earn Nantes around a million euros.
Awaziem, who joined Nantes in July 2025, has been capped 40 times for Nigeria, scoring two goals.
His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.50m.
