Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle is not expected to change his Starting XI for the match against Zimbabwe in tonight’s Unity Cup final against Jamaica.
The coach himself admitted he was pleasantly surprised by the cohesion the team showed against the Warriors of Zimbabwe after just a handful of training sessions in London.
A team official informed SCORENigeria: “From the final training yesterday, there are not likely to be changes to starting team.”
An unchanged XI means that goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo will keep his place ahead of the more experienced Francis Uzoho, Enugu Rangers fullbacks Chibueze Oputa and Kenneth Ogboke start again, while two-goal hero Femi Azeez will play behind striker Terem Moffi, who will captain the team for a second time.
Both Nigeria and Jamaica squared up in last year’s final with the Super Eagles coming top 5-4 on penalties after they had played out a 2-2 draw by full time.
