Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has yet to receive his salaries for the last three months.
The Portuguese coach is on $70,000 a month.
His salaries are now footed by the Federal Government through the sports ministry.
Journalist Osasu Obayiuwana quoted a top official confirming Peseiro has not been paid for several months.
In May, Peseiro signed a performance-based contract for a year, which will be renewed based on results.
Previously the NFF secured a top sponsor to pay the salaries of the Super Eagles coach, but this arrangement backfired after the sponsors could not meet up and former coach Gernot Rohr was owed for several months.
The Super Eagles play two friendlies against World Cup-bound Costa Rica and Portugal next month.
