Alhassan Yusuf is on the Super Eagles radar after he received a phone call from coach Jose Peseiro.
SCORENigeria can report that Peseiro spoke directly on phone to the Antwerp midfielder in an eventful week that saw him score his first-ever UEFA Champions League goal.
Alhassan, 23, is a tactically disciplined defensive or central midfielder who has yet to be capped by Nigeria at any level.
Then Swedish club IFK Goteborg blocked him from the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland and he has before now been overlooked by the Super Eagles despite his performances for the Belgian champions and the lack of quality in midfield of the national team.
