Jose Peseiro has blamed the Tunisian referee for the Super Eagles 2-1 loss to Algeria in a friendly Tuesday night after he disallowed his team’s second goal for offside.
#Algeria, can you ask the refs how Lookman's goal was offside again? Either of the frames 🤔🤔.#ALGNGA #ALGNIG pic.twitter.com/HcgPgcUWke

“The worst mistake in the game was the referee, our second goal was not offside,” Peseiro lamented.
“It was a clear goal, it was not an offside.
“We could at least have drawn this game.”
Goal scorer Terem Moffi combined well with Ademola Lookman for the Atalanta forward to get the ball into the net in the 28th minute, but the referee chalked it off for offside.
Peseiro said he was disappointed with the result of the game, but commended his team for giving a good account of themselves against a good side.
“I am disappointed with the loss because I don’t like to lose any match,” he said.
“The players did the maximum, we created more chances than Algeria, we did some mistakes when we went into the attack, we can improve.
“We fought against a team, but we have to improve our defensive and offensive organisations.
“I have more confidence than before in the team even though we lost.”
