Super Eagles friendly against Algeria’s home-based players on Friday will not be recognised by FIFA, officials have disclosed.
Super Eagles spokesman Babafemi Raji said Friday’s game in Constantine was only a test game and the result will not be included in the FIFA Rankings of both countries.
“This game will only be a test game and it won’t be recognised by FIFA,” Babafemi Raji explained today.
Originally, Friday’s match was to have been between the CHAN Eagles and their Algerian counterparts.
However, the CHAN Eagles broke training camp after they were eliminated by rivals Ghana from next year’s CHAN to be hosted incidentally by Algeria in January 2023.
The Super Eagles will also tackle the main Algerian team on September 27 in Oran and that game will be considered by FIFA.
