Super Eagles captain William Ekong has been dropped to the bench, while Ademola Lookman will start against Rwanda today even though he has yet to play an official game for his Italian club this season.
Benjamin Fredrick will start ahead of Ekong in central defence along with Calvin Bassey, while Ademola Lookman will play alongside Victor Osimhen in attack.
Fredrick shone at the Unity Cup in London in May.
Wilfred Ndidi will therefore lead the team today and he will also enjoy fresh energy in midfield provided by a hard-running Frank Onyeka.
Alex Iwobi will again be expected the provide the creatively in the engine room
Otherwise, coach Eric Chelle has kept faith with the core of the team he has worked with since he took charge early this year.
