Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha is a major doubt for the Super Eagles friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
The defender, who has yet to make his full international debut for Nigeria after he was capped by Germany at youth level, was not listed by Gent in a 2-0 home win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in a UEFA Conference League tie Thursday night.
Gent coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck said Torunarigha was not risked so as not to worsen his injury.
It is therefore not likely he will be released by his Belgian club for the friendlies in Portugal next week.A
Another Super Eagles call-up, Nottingham Forest fullback Ola Aina, is out with a muscular injury and is also expected to miss out on the friendlies.
