The Super Eagles have expressed confidence going into Saturday night’s AFCON showdown against Tunisia in Fes.
Tunisia moved to the top of Group after a 3-1 victory over Uganda as Nigeria pipped Tanzania 2-1 in an earlier clash.
Both the Super Eagles and the Carthage Eagles will now come face-to-face from 9pm Saturday.
Moses Simon said, “We want the three points against Tunisia, everybody wants to win and we want to be there.
“The fans should keep supporting us and we will make them proud.”
“We hope to improve against Tunisia, we came for the victory (vs Tanzania) and we got it,” added striker Jerome Akor.
“For now, we focus on taking the points, it’s the group stage so we have to get as many points as possible to make it to the next round.
“Yes, we missed out on the World Cup and we’re sad about this, but we wish to go as far as possible (at the AFCON) and we’re working towards this.”
