Joel Obi, who made the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has been released by Italian club Chievo Verona following the expiration of his contract.
Obi, 30, joined Verona in the 2018/19 season from Torino for two Million Euros.
He scored six goals and made three assists in 72 appearances for Verona in the three seasons he was there.
He has previously played for Inter Milan and Parma among several other Italian clubs.
He has won 17 caps with the Super Eagles since his debut in 2011.
