Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem will finally complete his transfer to French Ligue 1 club FC Nantes after his pay dispute with Boavista was resolved.
Nantes and Boavista already had an agreement in place more than a week ago, but the transfer had been delayed due to a dispute between Awaziem and Boavista over unpaid wages, which has since been settled.
Awaziem, who previously played for Nantes in the 2017-2018 season, will be a direct replacement for Andrei Girotto, who has moved to Saudi Arabia.
The 26-year-old Nigerian defender is expected early next week in ‘The Canaries’ squad, after Boavista’s match at Portimonense today, for a transfer of 1.5 Million Euros.
