CHAN Eagles star Sunday Faleye has told SCORENigeria he will give everything for NPFL side Shooting Stars to be great again following his return on a short-term loan from Czech club FK Dukla Praha.
Faleye’s loan deal was personally handled by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who wants to reposition the Ibadan club to be one of the top clubs in Nigeria again.
“I am super happy to return home and I hope to give everything I have to ensure Shooting Stars are a great force again in Nigeria,” Faleye told SCORENigeria
“I wish to thank Governor Makinde for the confidence he has in me and I believe with his support and that of the fans, Shooting Stars will be great again.”
The winger or midfielder presented a personalized jersey of his Czech club to Governor Makinde at his official unveiling at the Governor’s office in Ibadan Thursday.
Faleye shone at the 2017 CHAN in Morocco, where Nigeria reached the final for the first time.
He has also represented Nigeria at U23 level.
Governor Makinde has appointed former international Dimeji Lawal as acting general manager of the club following the death of Rasheed Balogun.
He also plans to bring the club under his personal supervision, while promising to increase their monthly subvention beginning from this month.
