Beerschot striker Blessing Eleke has received support of a teammate even after going without a goal in 14 appearances.
Eleke joined the Belgian club in August after stints in Slovenia, Switzerland and Israel.
The 24-year-old striker could well have broken his duck Thursday against KV Mechelen in a cup tie, but he failed to put away the two chances that fell his way.
“Eleke is doing well in the group, he is a player with many qualities,” said central defender Frederic Frans.
“He has not had many chances yet, but he played a good second half (vs Mechelen).
“As a striker they rate you on your goals, but if he had put away one of those two chances, he would have got his goal.”
