Tottenham Hotspur and Gent through their agents are locked in talks over striker Gift Orban with the Premier League club yet to meet the valuation of the player by his Belgian club.
According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Spurs have orally agreed to pay 27 Million Euros, but Gent want at least 30 Million Euros plus add-ons.
It is expected that a transfer could come through by the new week.
This transaction was also expected to gather speed when Harry Kane completes a transfer to Bayern Munich.
Several other clubs including Ligue 1 outfit Lille are interested in signing the explosive striker, who has now netted 25 goals for Gent since his arrival from the second division in Norway.
