Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have received the sporting approval to begin negotiations with Galatasaray for striker Victor Osimhen.
The BBC reported that Spurs have added Osimhen to their transfer list to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season.
New boss Roberto De Zerbi is continuing to rebuild his attacking options.
Spurs have made initial approaches valued between £50 million and £55 million, while the Turkish club are seeking a lot more.
CaughtOffside was informed by sources close to the agents industry that Spurs have received sporting approval to start formal negotiations.
The sources also indicated that the London club believe personal terms would not present a major obstacle.
There has been no official approach or direct contact between Tottenham and Galatasaray.
Manchester United, Chelsea, and Atlético Madrid have also been linked with the player, which could increase the price and weaken Tottenham’s negotiating position.
