Sports Minister Sunday Dare has assured that the recommendations and submissions of the committee charged with drawing a Master Plan for Nigeria football for the next 10 years will be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari.
He made this assurance when he inaugurated the committee today in Abuja.
“For those who think that this committee’s work, recommendations and submissions will end up on some shelves to gather dust….it is important to highlight this – The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development will follow President Muhammadu Buhari’s directives to the letter,” Dare said.
“He has given his directives, and once the job is done, we will present the final report to him.
“All that will be done will be in Nigeria’s interest only.”
The 16-man committee is headed by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima with businessman Yemi Idowu as Vice-Chairman.
The secretary of the committee is Bode Durotoye and he will be assisted by former NFF General Secretary Musa Amadu.
The other members are – Emmanuel Babayaro, Sunday Oliseh, Segun Odegbami, Ikeddy Isiguzo, Ayo Omidiran, Augustine Ojiabor, Tobechukwu Okigbo, Ade Ojiekere, Moahmmed Sanusi, Tony Nnachetta, Muhammad Daha Umar Faruk and John Opubor
They have eight weeks to submit their recommendations.
