Simeon Nwankwo has opened his goals account for the season thanks for an assist by fellow Super Eagles star Joel Obi, but it was not enough to give Salernitana their second win in Serie A.
‘Simy’ opened scoring at Spezia after 39 minutes with a superb flick by veteran Joel Obi.
However, it proved not enough as home team Spezia fought back to win 2-1.
Salernitana remain second from bottom of the table with four points from eight matches.
Last season, ‘Simy’ fired 20 goals in Serie A for Crotone, who still got demoted to the lower league.
