Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia he has not been reinstated to the national team setup because he is seen as “a trouble maker”.
Siasia has long served out a FIFA ban, but he has yet to take up a notable coaching post.
The former international striker has previously worked as coach of the country’s U23s, U20s as well as the full international team, the Super Eagles.
“They don’t want to give me work because they say I am trouble maker,” Siasia said in a radio interview.
“I call a spade a spade and they will dismiss me as a controversial coach.
“They march on my head and they expect me to say ‘thank you sir’.”

I believe Samson Siasia’s sin of match fixing has not been forgiven. The FIFA ban and fine alongside all the drama that followed. Integrity is very important in everything.
I disagree with you! Salisu Yusuf was also banned by FIFA for either match fixing or taking bribes, remember? But once his ban was over, NFF bigwigs made him coach of the home-based Eagles that eventually failed to qualify for the 2022 CHAN tournament. Nigerians criticized the move due to the general consensus that he was tactically inept, but NFF didn’t listen. Siasia is right! The NFF are using that excuse of match fixing to refuse him a job even though he used his 5-year ban time to improve his coaching tactics and techniques. And if you know Siasia’s coaching history, you’ll know that he’s a coach that chooses his own team and is upright in that regard. NFF knows it and that’s why they won’t employ him.
