Shehu Dikko, chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) and second vice president of the NFF, is a director and owner of Mediterranean Sports Ltd, a company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with registration number RC:609149.
The company address is Plot 1467 Hon. Justice Mamman Nasir Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja.
Amaju Pinnick and Shehu Dikko are two “sharp guys” bonded by financial sleaze and whose mission and vision is to hold Nigeria football in perpetual bondage.
In a letter dated 6th April 2018 signed by Pinnick addressed to the Managing Director/CEO Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC), the NFF president requested that an undisclosed amount of money be paid to the account of the Mediterranean Sports Ltd as support for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Dikko is Pinnick’s crowned prince to the NFF throne whether or not Pinnick drops his third-term ambition and if both of them can wriggle themselves out of the ongoing protracted investigation and trial for massive corruption in the NFF, a mission that is now practically impossible.
The Nigeria Football Federation have corporate sponsors in their stable before the Amaju Pinnick-led board emerged and Coca-Cola Nigeria is one of such sponsors.
From Ibrahim Galadima’s administration, the Coca-Coca sponsorship relationship was nurtured by Sani Lulu Abdullahi and Aminu Maigari’s administrations.
Curiously, Mediterranean Sports Ltd, a carefully designed trump card to divert, siphon and steal NFF funds, already got 20% of the Coca-Cola sponsorship fees for 2020, which is $160,000.
The NANF can reveal that the NFF new slogan is that they always “carry the Hon. Minister of Sports along”, so could they also have done so in this Mediterranean Sports 20% commission from the Coca-Cola deal?
This investigation series on Mediterranean Sports Ltd is from the National Association of Nigeria Footballers (NANF).
