Kelechi Iheanacho is again a free agent after Spanish La Liga club Sevilla terminated his contract by mutual consent.
His contract with Sevilla was until June 2026.
Last summer, Iheanacho joined Sevilla as a free agent after his contract with English club Leicester City ran out.
The 28-year-old Super Eagles forward struggled to settle in at the Spanish club and had to be sent out on loan to English Championship side Middlesbrough.
He made 11 appearances and scored three goals for Sevilla, before he scored a goal and made two assists in 15 appearances on loan at Middlesbrough.
During this summer transfer window he was linked with PUMAS of Mexico and a number of top Turkish clubs.
However, he now looks likely to seal a transfer to Scottish champions Celtic.

Mutual consent? Meaning he is totally free right now with no obligations? Good for him if he gets a club that will be happy to pay him well. He’s a free agent again.
