Genoa and Cagliari are now among several Serie A clubs who plan to move ahead of AC Milan to sign former Flying Eagles striker Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi.
Milan have already penciled down Ikwuemesi, who flopped at the 2021 U20 AFCON qualifiers in Benin Republic, as one for the future.
However, other Italian clubs like Genoa and Cagliari now want to go ahead and sign the 21-year-old striker without further delays.
These clubs have already met with handlers of the centre-forward, who netted nine goals and delivered five assists in 30 games for Slovenian club NK Celje last season.
