Emmanuel Dennis, who has failed to shine at Premier League club Nottingham Forest, could have a lifeline thrown at him as Serie A side Udinese are interested in signing him.
He is one of several players being considered as a replacement for Beto, who is set to move to the Premier League with Everton.
This season, the 25-year-old winger has not been listed by Forest in their first three Premier League matches against Arsenal, Sheffield United and Manchester United.
He last played for Forest in May at Crystal Palace.
Last season, he made 19 appearances mostly as a sub, scored twice and provided two assists for his team after he came over from Watford for about 15 Million Euros.
