Promotion-chasing Hull City have been hit by a major blow after defender Semi Ajayi suffered a hamstring injury at the 2025 AFCON that could now rule him out for at least seven weeks.
At the weekend in Casablanca, Ajayi was forced out of the Super Eagles third-place clash against Egypt just before the penalty shootout.
A scan has now revealed he injured his hamstring and will be sidelined for several weeks.
Ajayi, who posted a good AFCON outing in Morocco, has been important for Hull City, who are fourth and within the promotion bracket in the English Championship standings
