Former Nigeria U23 striker Promise David may have opted to now play for Canada instead of the Super Eagles, but no one can deny what a huge history maker he is in Belgium as he came off the bench to score twice and crown Union St.Gilloise champions since 1935.
5.Ebube Duru
The defender was simply unplayable for Danish club Sonderjyske as they won 3-2 at Velje. He scored a goal and made an assist. This win ensured his team are safe from relegation as they finished third in the playoffs with 37 points from 32 matches.

4.Samuel Chukwueze
The winger shrugged off an injury concern to give himself a late 26th birthday gift when he came off the bench to provide an assist as AC Milan beat Monza 3-0 in their final match of the season. He was involved in eight goals across all competitions for Milan this season.
3.Alex Iwobi
The Super Eagles star made history for the second season running when he played his 38th appearance in the Premier League against Manchester City, meaning that like the previous season, he featured in all Fulham Premier League games. He is only the fourth Nigerian star to achieve this milestone after Joseph Yobo (Everton, 2006/07), Victor Moses (Chelsea, 2011/12), and Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, 2018/19). This was also the best-ever finish by his London club as they placed 11th in the standings.

2.Rafiu Durosinmi
The big striker marked his remarkable from a long-term injury by firing his eighth goal of the season for Viktoria Plzen to advance to the UEFA Champions League qualifying series next season after they finished as runners-up to Slavia Praha in Czech top league. The 22-year-old striker will now be a top transfer target across Europe after he proved he is back to form and full fitness following a major injury that had blocked a switch to the German Bundesliga.

1.Promise David
The bulky striker has conquered Belgium in only his first season with Union St.Gilloise. Last year, he was playing in the backwater league in Estonia after stints in Malta and Croatia. On Sunday night, ‘Tobi’ was the hero for his Brussels club as they finally ended a 90-year wait to be champions again of Belgium. He came off the bench with scores tied at 1-1 to score twice for Union to beat Gent and be crowned champions. He scored 24 goals in all competitions for the new champions of Belgium. It was a most eventful season for David as he also made his debut for Canada after he changed his international allegiance from Nigeria having played an official game for the Nigeria U23s. Is he now a huge loss for the Super Eagles?
